Fernando Llort, National Artist of El Salvador, created his designs by stirring together a bit of fantasy with pre-Columbian images. His paintings represent his dreams of a world in harmony with nature. Recognized world-wide for his art, Fernando transformed a village into a community of artisans, and his images reconnected the people of El Salvador to their ancient past.
